Spooky and Fun Halloween Pops

So, hello & welcome. I've never blogged before but I L-O-V-E sharing food & making food & creating food that I feel like I've been missing out on this match made in heaven, "blogging", in which I can do all three. Here's to my first post! (*clink*)

Cake Pops are all the rage on the internet these days, and are pretty much the cutest things you can make for dessert. Although I think the most creative ones come from Bakerella and her awesome blog. I tried making cake pops for the first time...followed her directions and voila! Her ideas are SO cute and irresistible!

Just bake a cake, crumble it up into a bowl, add some frosting (almost a full can), mix it together with your hands, once combined form into desired shapes, stick a popsicle stick in the bottom and freeze for about 10 minutes to firm up. Then melt your candy melts and let the decorating begin!

Here are the batch I made for halloween
Little Blood Shot Mummies...they sort of remind me of the old chicken nugget commercials from the 80's...is it just me?
These are by far my favorites... they make me smile
Little Tasty Ghost Bites..
CHOMP! couldn't resist!

Little Jack O Lanterns...
One Eyed, One Horned, Flying Purple People Eaters
Impressive Wing Span for a candy coated cake treat...
